Dr. Claire King, Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Guttmann Community College at CUNY, led a conversation on the development of student agency and resilience in the midst of covid-19.

Abstract: "What do you want to stand for in this crisis?" My students' experiences and ensuing reflections have given me pause these weeks as they strive to take authorship of their own lives and develop agency in the most tenuous and resolute ways. Our community college is an HSI, serving traditionally-aged students who are low income, minoritized, first generation. Many students are neurodiverse and many are Dreamers. Just in getting to college, they show themselves to be "survivors." What can we learn from them about surviving in this shared time of universal crisis?
